Stylus Pro 4000 Field Repair Guide 4/28/05 Firmware Update Procedure Note: This procedure is used to update or install firmware. It is the service method because it does not require the Printer to be “Online” to work. I have an Epson 5040 (yes the owner's thread is difficult to navigate) and stream from an Xbox One S. All of this info is difficult to come by, but I'll relay what I've found. The projector (PJ) has an HMDI 1.4 input (Epson 5040, 4000, 4010 all do) which will accept a 4K HDR signal, but is limited to 10 Gbps.

About Epson Software Updater

Epson Software Updater 4.5.0 allows you to update Epson software as well as download 3rd party applications. It can handle official firmware updates, download other useful software and perform updates from the PC to your printer. This download is licensed as freeware for the Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system/platform without restrictions. Epson Software Updater is available to all software users as a free download for Windows.

We tested the file ESU_4.4.5.exe with 25 antivirus programs and it turned out 100% clean. It's good practice to test any downloads from the Internet with trustworthy antivirus software.

Older versions of Windows often have trouble running modern software and thus Epson Software Updater may run into errors if you're running something like Windows XP. Conversely, much older software that hasn't been updated in years may run into errors while running on newer operating systems like Windows 10. You can always try running older programs in compatibility mode.

The current version of Epson Software Updater is 4.5.0 and is the latest version since we last checked. This is the full offline installer setup file for PC. This site has hosted other versions of it in the past such as 4.4.5.0. At the moment, only the latest version is available.
